Washington, DC – In case you missed it, Congressman Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-31) recently went on "First of All'' on CNN to discuss the Trump Administration and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's most recent actions in their crusade against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and the removal of 400 books from the Naval Academy. Rep. Cisneros also pointed out that Secretary Hegseth used DEI as an excuse to pause sexual assault and sexual harassment prevention and response programs at the Department of Defense (DoD).

About 20 minutes into a town hall in El Monte this week, Melissa Morgan of San Dimas picked up the microphone to address her congressman, Democrat Gil Cisneros.

“You seem like such an affable, kind, nice man,” Morgan said, her voice hesitant at first. “But I am so angry. I am so scared. I feel our democracy is in danger. ... I wish you’d be angry.”
