WASHINGTON — Congressman Gil Cisneros (CA-31), led letters to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to inquire about the impacts that reductions in force (RIFs) will have on casework processing. Casework is a crucial service provided by congressional offices where constituents can raise their concerns with tax refunds, Social Security payments, passports, and other benefits that they are owed from federal agencies.
