WASHINGTON, DC — Today, a group of government funding bills for FY26 passed into law, including all 15 Community Project Funding requests that Rep. Gil Cisneros (CA-31) secured for his district. Totaling at $18,292,000, Rep. Cisneros will be bringing in funding directly to the CA-31 communities in the San Gabriel Valley.

Gil Cisneros introduced the Streamlining Small Business Contracts Act, a bill that would simplify and streamline single-source contracts across SBA programs by implementing a $10 million threshold. Current thresholds for contracts awarded to small businesses do not reflect realities of costs and inflation, and limit small business competition. This bill would raise those thresholds to meet the needs of America’s small businesses today.

Premiums rose substantially after Republicans ended the Affordable Care Act tax credits and healthcare costs soared following the passage of the Republican funding bill just a few months ago.
