Gil Cisneros (D-CA-31) and Pete Sessions (R-TX-17) introduced a bipartisan bill, the Corporal Fernando Ruiz Baltazar Posthumous Citizenship Act, that would grant symbolic, honorary posthumous U.S. citizenship to select Filipino noncitizens who served and died in the U.S. military during World War II.

Washington, DC – Yesterday, the House voted unanimously to pass the Small Business Administration (SBA) IT Modernization Reporting Act, bipartisan legislation sponsored by Reps. Gil Cisneros (D-CA-31) and Brian Jack (R-GA-03). The bill will enhance the SBA’s ability to develop, implement, and manage future IT modernization projects and mitigate potential risks to improve the SBA’s ability to better serve small businesses.

Gil Cisneros (CA-31) toured a Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley (PPPSGV) health center in Baldwin Park and a community health center in West Covina to see the impact of the Republican healthcare cuts. During these visits, Rep. Cisneros heard directly from patients and providers about the devastating effects of rising premiums and federal funding cuts to the healthcare system.
