WASHINGTON — Congressman Gil Cisneros (CA-31) and Small Business Ranking Member Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez (NY-07) introduced the 8(a) Small Business Integrity and Stability Act of 2026, legislation that protects current participants in the 8(a) program from disruptive regulatory changes, compliance burdens, and abrupt terminations of small business contracting opportunities. 

WASHINGTON — Congressman Gil Cisneros (CA-31) and Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (LA-02) introduced the Water Technology and Resilience Reauthorization Act, which would reauthorize an EPA technology grant program for small and disadvantaged water systems, which is set to expire in FY26. The grant funding would be used to invest in technologies that address cybersecurity vulnerabilities in drinking water systems.

Washington, DC – Rep. Gil Cisneros led 63 colleagues in a letter to Republican leadership in support of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients commonly referred to as Dreamers. The letter urges Republican leadership not to obstruct legislation that protects Dreamers from work authorization lapses and the threat of deportation, including through a permanent, codified legal status.

WASHINGTON — Congressman Gil Cisneros (D-CA-31) and Congressman Brian Jack (R-GA-03) introduced a bill, the Small Business Administration (SBA) IT Modernization Reporting Act of 2025, that would enhance the SBA’s ability to develop, implement, and manage IT modernization projects while mitigating potential risks in order to better serve small businesses.
