Our office in Washington, D.C. provides two types of internships, a legislative internship and a press internship. While there is overlap in the responsibilities of the legislative and press interns, they also hold responsibilities tailored to either legislation or press/communications.

Legislative Internship

Covina, CA

Our District office provides one type of internship program: the district internship program. This is an in-person congressional internship based in Covina, California. Unlike the internships based in Washington D.C., district interns get to interact with constituents and community leaders on a regular basis primarily through events or casework.

Congressman Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-31) offers Winter, Summer, and Fall internship programs in both his District office and Washington, D.C. office year-round. We are currently hiring for our fall internship cohort. Please note that this is a 4-month internship program that runs from September–December. Gil Cisneros (CA-31) and Jack Bergman (MI-01). The bill, which was introduced in the House in January, would reduce the Reserve Component’s (RC’s) duty statuses from roughly 30 to four. This change would create a coherent structure, ensuring our servicemembers receive equitable benefits and pay when called to service.
