Reps. Gil Cisneros and Jack Bergman host Veteran Service Organizations Roundtable on Transition Assistance

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representatives Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (D-CA-39) and Jack Bergman (R-MI-1), Co-Chairs of the Military Transition Assistance Pathway (MTAP) Caucus, hosted an off-the-record roundtable with several Veteran Service Organization (VSOs) and members of the MTAP Caucus. The discussion focused on insight into the transition assistance curriculum and how Congress can better improve transition assistance for our servicemembers and veterans.
The roundtable marks the first event for the MTAP Caucus. More events for the caucus will be held throughout this year.

The MTAP Caucus is a bipartisan coalition of representatives dedicated to supporting and advocating on behalf of military servicemembers returning to civilian life, advancing policies that improve services and resources provided to transitioning servicemembers, addressing gaps of care when a servicemember transitions, and honoring the service of our nation’s military retirees and their families.
