Rep. Cisneros Hosts Press Conference on Protecting the USPS

FULLERTON, CA - Today, Representative Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr. (CA-39) joined his Southern California House colleagues in a virtual press conference to talk about the USPS crisis. He spoke alongside Reps. Norma Torres (CA-35), Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40), Grace Napolitano (CA-32), Linda Sanchez (CA-38), and Mark Takano (CA-41) and leaders of local postal unions. “The U.S. Postal Service has been under attack. While Postmaster General DeJoy paused his efforts to undermine the USPS, the damage has already been done. This is not enough. His actions need to be reversed,” said Rep. Cisneros. “We have to get service standards back to where they were before these changes. Veterans, families, and small businesses all across the country rely on the USPS and are still experiencing mail delays. Congress needs to protect and fund the Postal Service immediately.”
